Nordic-themed MMO Odin: Valhalla Rising lands publishing deal with Kakao Games

The recently announced MMORPG Odin: Valhalla Rising couldn’t have come at a better time. Amid the hype for Norse mythology, with Vikings series and the new Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, Odin: Valhalla Rising arrive and we can’t wait to immerse ourselves in the Viking world. The Norse mythology-themed MMORPG from Korean studio Lionheart Studio is starting to get real with the latest trailer for the game and a publishing deal.

Kakao Games has signed a publishing contract with developer  Lionheart Studio. The regions included in the agreement were not mentioned in the official press release, however, South Korea is definitely included. Kakao Games also announced that it has made a «strategic capital investment» in Lionheart Studio. While not confirmed, we believe that the territory rights could be global.

As for the game itself, it is being developed for PC and mobile devices, a world of humans, demons, and gods at war, made with Unreal Engine 4.  Players will reportedly be able to visit places like Midgard, Jotunheim, Niflheim, and Alfheim.
